Why Meadowbank sounds like this
Bike bells pass from left to right over the hiss of tyres, each a little lower than the last, then two ring together. Te Ara ki Uta ki Tai, the shared path from Glen Innes to Tāmaki Drive, runs right beside the line here. The bells are the riders going past the platform.
Inside the chime
Meadowbank's chime runs about 3 seconds, in two parts. Every station's chime ends on its family's signature, so you can tell roughly where you are by ear.

Meadowbank's own motif 2.6 s

The East family's log drum 0.7 s
Two log-drum strikes, high then low, each with a wooden note on top. It starts at Ōrākei, the first stop east of the tunnel, and runs down to Sylvia Park.
