Why Glen Eden sounds like this
A toy piano runs up and back, a snare roll builds, then a cymbal crashes. The Glen Eden Playhouse, a community theatre near the town centre, has put on local shows for decades. The drumroll is the moment before the curtain goes up.
Inside the chime
Glen Eden's chime runs about 4 seconds, in two parts. Every station's chime ends on its family's signature, so you can tell roughly where you are by ear.
